Yes, we are currently working on a series of roleplaying adventure magazines, using the QuestWorlds rules. The first one will come out once the complete rule set is published by Chaosium. What is the difference between Chaosium Inc. and Humakt e.V.?
Chaosium Inc. is an American publishing house for roleplaying games like RuneQuest, Call of Cthulhu, QuestWorlds and the fantasy world Glorantha. We heartily recommend that you visit their website http://www.chaosium.com.
Humakt e.V. is a club of roleplaying enthusiasts in Germany. We focus on the roleplaying system QuestWorlds and partially on the fantasy world Glorantha. We run this website https://www.humakt.com and we publish roleplaying fan material.
What is the difference between HeroQuest and QuestWorlds?
QuestWorlds is the new name for a roleplaying system that was previously known as HeroQuest. Our older HeroQuest publications are compatible with the new QuestWorlds rules.
What is so special about QuestWorlds?
QuestWorlds does not try to simulate a “reality”. Instead it provides you with tools for a resolution process in roleplaying games that is inspired by the way authors and screenplay writes create their work. Hence the rules don’t say “To overcome obstacle X you need skill Y at a rating of Z”. Instead the rules say “Figure out what outcome of the conflict might be most entertaining. Consider whether the players need a feeling of success or a challenge. Chose the resistance accordingly – and only then describe your reality”. These tools are universal, regardless if they are used on wizards, cowboys or aliens.
Do I need to have previous knowledge about QuestWorlds to actually use it?
No, QuestWorlds is perfectly suited to beginners. All you need to know is how a roleplaying game works in general. We have explained that here. Besides that you only need the QuestWorlds core rules or quick start rules, a 20-sided die, pens, papers and some players in a good mood and you are ready to start an adventure.
I already have a favourite roleplaying setting. Should I still read QuestWorlds?
Yes. QuestWorlds is a quick and very easy roleplaying system. We recommend you read the rules (or our German quick start rules) and decide for your self if you want to use it for your own adventures.

I would like to test QuestWorlds. Do you run games?
During the Corona pandemic everything is a little different. Usually we would go to roleplaying conventions and offer gaming sessions. We will not do that again before 2022. However, it is possible to meet online and play via roll20 or Discord. If you are interested, feel free to send us an email to info@humakt.com.
